Jailer Jack Sizemore
Term: 2002-2011

Jack Sizemore served as Laurel County Jailer from 2002-2011 and was the longest tenured Jailer in Laurel County to this date. Mr. Sizemore first served as deputy sheriff then as chief deputy before being elected into office in 2002.

Jack Sizemore was known as a "big teddy bear" to most but believed in discipline and hard work. He was a firm believer in a good work release program and loved to give back and help the community in any way he could. His wife, Wilma Sizemore, supervised the commissary for the jail and was just as loving and devoted.

Mr. Sizemore was plagued with sickness and retired in 2011.
